When we visited Galapagos Islands in December 2012, we expected to see all kinds of birds, iguanas, sea lions and other wildlife (and we did) but we did not expect to see the beautiful red ground cover everywhere on North Seymour Island. I later found out they are called carpet weed and only turns red in certain time of the year. Lucky for us.
