Snowy egret is much small than the great egret but a very elegant creature with beautiful white plumage. Its body is all white with black bill, black legs and yellow feet. Great egret has yellowish-orange bill with black legs and feet.

I was delighted to see a hummingbird coming for the potted flower on my deck this morning. I had to set the camera at high ISO because of the poor lighting condition thereby introducing some noise on the image.
I guess lotus blossom season is over this year. The only thing I was able to photograph was the lotus leave and lotus pods and seeds. I never thought lotus pod could be so colorful!
