The modern definition of Blue Moon means the second full moon in a month. It is a rare occasion thus the American expression of “once in a blue moon”. The last time we had blue moon was on August 31, 2012 when I took the shots from Carroll Park with Frederick downtown as background. The next blue moon will happen on January 31, 2018.
