I knew it’s a bit early for lotuses at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Washington, DC to bloom this week but I was very anxious to see if some of the early-blossom ones have done so. Sure enough when I visited the Gardens yesterday, I saw many beautiful blossoms, enough for me to shoot a couple of hours without any crowd – it will be quite different in two weeks when the blossom will be at the peak, coincided with the Annual Lotus Festival.
