Landscape, Nature, Photography

Petrified Forest National Park was established in 1906 to preserve and protect the petrified woods for scientific research – see the link http://www.nps.gov/pefo/learn/nature/petrified-wood.htm for the information of how petrified woods come to being. It is not just about petrified woods but the spectacular landscape especially in the Tepees and Blue Mesa areas.
