The landscape of Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument near Flagstaff, is striking different and beautiful from the surrounding red rock country in Arizona. The vast black lava rock floor dotted with some isolated green pine trees and/or white-trunk aspen trees produces images with nice contrast and the snow-capped San Francisco Peaks add an additional dimension to some of the images.
