McKee Beshers Wildlife Management Area located off River Road in Poolesville, Maryland is a 2,000 acre tract in a mixture of woodlands, fields, and wetlands. It provides home for a variety of wildlife, including, turkeys, waterfowls, song birds, deer, wood ducks, etc. Approximately 30 acres of field were planted with sunflowers which attract bees, golden finches, squirrels and last but not the least a lot of nature photographers during peak blooming in the first half of July.
