We missed the peak colors of the foliage probably by two weeks when we arrived the Smokies last week. However, we still came across some beautiful autumn scenes as we drove around the park. It rained half of the time during our 5-day stay and when the sun came out the rising smoke really blended well with the still colorful mountain side.
