At Elevation of 6600 feet (2200 meters) the weather at Clingmans Dome could be very unpredictable. It was sunny as we drove up there one late afternoon and we thought we might witness a beautiful sunset, but alas the cloud moved in so quickly and I was lucky to capture this image showing layers of mountain ranges before the total “white out”.
