The number of bald eagles at Conowingo Dam usually increases in November and through December with the peak, that had reach 200 in the past years, around Thanksgiving time. It has attracted hundreds of photographers to capture bald eagles catching fish from the water, fighting for the prize frequently and enjoying their “sashimi” up on the trees. It was for all these excellent and challenging photo opportunities, I went there yesterday morning and luckily saw a lot of “active” bald eagles. Most of the photographers shot with big gun, 600 mm telephoto lens and up, except me with a 400 mm lens and a 300 mm lens with overhead shots.
