Shiso Plant and American Goldfinch

I always plant some shiso in the pots for various types of consumption as it complements all kinds of dishes, especially barbecued meat and grilled fish. It is used all the time, as background of Japanese dish of sashimi and sushi. It comes in green and purple leaves and tastes with rather strong mint and cinnamon flavor. I got adventurous once in making the scrambled eggs with chopped up leaves and tasted quite good. Well, look like the hummingbirds go for the flowers as I posted the image previously and to my surprised even the American goldfinch came to visit yesterday.
