White Sands National Monument in Southern New Mexico near the Town of Alamogordo is a truly unique place to see. The fantastic white sands (gypsum), exotic-looking yucca and the shape of sand dunes really present unlimited opportunities to photograph, especially during late afternoon and early morning hours. We were lucky to be able to shoot these beautiful scenery in late afternoon on the day of our arrival but ran out of luck in the next morning due to missile range tests that closed the park until almost 11:00 am. By then, the light was bright and harsh and could not get any good shots.
