NYC Skyline at Night

Cityscape, Landscape, Photography

This is the night scene of New York City skyline as viewed from the City of Weehawken, New Jersey.  We arrived in the park at dusk and stayed until night.

The second picture reminds me of Seurat’s Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. (Though I have to admit I had to look up the name of the painting I was thinking of.) The skyline is beautiful, but I’m fascinated by the people captured at a single moment in their lives.

Thank you so much. I googled Seurat’s painting you referred to and I realized how you related the two images. Yes, I tried to create a photograph with a story to show how people, adults and kids alike enjoyed a summer evening on the water side. Thanks again for your comments! — Stephen

Hi Derrick, glad you like my NYC picture. Yes, you may use it for your cover as long as you give me the credit for it, such as referring to my website, http://shungphotography.com . Should you need a high resolution file, please let me know. —- Stephen
