Cityscape, Photography

You’d never think there are many Baroque architecture style buildings but there are, particularly in the old Dadaucheng District in Taipei. Most of these building were built in the 1920’s, about 100 years ago as Baroque style structures were popular during the Japanese occupation period. You can find many of this type of architecture in the old cities all over Taiwan but not as concentrated as Dadaucheng area. Many government buildings in Taipei were also built in Baroque style and the most distinguished one is Presidential Building as shown last.DSCN5121sDSCN5116sDSCN5115sDSCN5113sDSCN5103sDSC_7475s
