Morning Hike in Taipin-shan, Taiwan

One of my most memorable hikes in Taiwan was in Taipin Shan (Mountain) in northern Taiwan where I visited with some good friends several years ago. It was a hiking trail along the abandoned lumber railroad. We were lucky to see the sun rays shining through the woods and hit the rail and the trail. We stopped for quite a while to capture these amazing scenes of sun beams and on the returned hike when the sun came up the bule sky with sea of clouds really presented gorgeous scenery.

Thank you, Lynette. Taiwan is a beautiful country with many high mountains and of course surrounded by ocean. No wonder the Portugueses called it ‘Ilha Formosa” meaning beautiful island when they passed by in 1544.

  2. Your photos are just wonderful, ethereal. Thank you Stephen for sharing these wonders of nature.
It helps knowing how to use a camera.

Thank you, Miriam. I really enjoyed the hike and took these wonderful images. I was just a beautiful place of great nature! I missed going there in the last two years due to Covid pandemic.
