Tahquamenon Upper Falls, Michigan

We visited Tahquamenon Upper Falls on the way to Sault Ste. Marie from Munising. The upper falls are more than 200 feet across and drop approximately 48 feet. The water is notably brown in color because of tannins that are leached from the cedar swamps which the river drains, so the falls has been nicknamed as Root Beer Falls. It is a beautiful falls especially surrounding with autumn colors.
