A Great Egret Perching on A Tree Branch

Nature, Photography, Wildlife

Each year in August there seems to have hundreds of great and snowy egrets migrating to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) near Dover, Delaware.  We went for an overnight trip again this week. Sure enough our first sight when entering the Refuge was a great egret perching on a branch of dead tree. It was a productive trip as we not only encountered hundreds of egrets but other birds such as great blue herons, ospreys, Canada geese and even a red fox. Hopefully, I’ll be able to post these in the next few days – so please stay tuned.
