Backyard Hummingbird

I was delighted to see a hummingbird coming for the potted flower on my deck this morning. I had to set the camera at high ISO because of the poor lighting condition thereby introducing some noise on the image.

Now you mentioned it does look like painting. I had to use ISO of 1600 and shot with f/5.6 and 1/1000 sec. The hummingbird looked too dark so I had to brighten the image, that’s all I did. Thank for visiting my blog. — Stephen

      • Did you shoot manual or AV? I tend to use the latter more often. Nevertheless, great photo – as always 😀

  1. I did shoot in manual mode. I knew it was going to be on dark side but did not want to reduce the speed due to fast moving hummingbird in flight.
