It was a very cold morning at the Virginia Side of the Great Falls Park at 19 degree F. (-9 degrees C.) last Saturday. We were hoping to see some river mist at the Falls but did not see much. The scenery, however is still very pretty as the soft morning sun hit the rocks and the water.

These are really nice photos of this park. I shared it on Twitter. What time of day were you there? I ask just because it always seems crowded with people, but not in these photos.
We arrived at Park at 6:30 am, about 15 minutes before sunrise but the Ranger did not open the gate until 7. Maryland side usually opens all the time.
Ok, that makes sense, it certainly can be a bustling place.
