Snow geese seem to have come to Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, PA earlier this year. It was estimated to be about 50,000 in the area last week and that was enough to attract me to take a day trip over there. Yes, there were lots of them in the still ice covered lake. I’ve been shooting snow geese for many years but still give me “goose bump” when I see thousands and thousands of them all taking off at the same time with loud noise and never run into each other. It must not as chaotic as it looks! I may go back (it’s only a two hour drive from my home in Frederick, MD) to shoot these snow geese in early morning and late afternoon.
Here is the short video I shot with the Nikon D7000 Camera:

Wow! Great video and shots!
Thank you and glad you like them.
Awesome! It’s like a wall of snow geese in front you. I have never seen anything like this before.
Greetings from Cley next the sea,
Dina
Thank you, Dina. It is quite an experience to see and hear the loud noise as tens of thousands of snow geese lifting off at the same time (without bumping into each other). By the way, until you mentioned Cley, Next to Sea, I always thought you are from Norway! Greetings from Frederick, Maryland, Stephen.
