Tulip Fields at Mount Vernon, Washington State

We started our 12-day Pacific Northwest photo tour by flying across the continent from Washington DC to Seattle, Washington yesterday. Our first stop is Mount Vernon WA, the center of Annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. We toured two incredibly beautiful tulip fields with nice mix of colors. They were just gorgeous to view and photograph in the late afternoon sun light – I guess we were lucky to see the sun and blue sky at this time of year in this region! The weather is going to be even better for the next two days and we will definitely take advantage of that – more tulip shots!

Those views are absolutely breathtaking! I have never seen fields like this outside the Netherlands.

Thank you and sorry for late response. The tulip field did generate a few comments some even suggested I don’t have to go to Holland for it, but I do know the setting is quite different, instead of mountain in the background here, there are water and lake in the near ground over there!
