Misty Chincoteague NWR, Virginia

Landscape, Photography

After the visit of Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) we drove two hour south to Chincoteague NWR in the rain. The next morning we got up early with hope to see and photograph the sunrise scenes but all we saw was the thick fog! However, it did present different photo opportunities. We did find a small flock of snow geese in the lake and was very difficult to capture a nice image.

Thank you! You should go to Chincoteague some time, the scenery is different and beautiful. If you like great egrets, there are usually many over there.

  1. Fog is my favorite weather. 25 years ago, I moved to a region with much less fog than my home region, since I really crave the mood and visual noise reduction of mist. Love your photos!

Thank you. I like fog, it seems to add one more dimension to the image.
