July is for Sunflowers in Washington

It’s time for sunflowers at McKee Beshers Wildlife Management Area (WNA) on River Road, Poolesville, MD. I took these pictures late afternoon yesterday (July 9th). They are young blooming so the seeds have not matured yet. I did not see any birds, neither yellow finches nor indigo buntings – may be toward the end of month. Looks like I’ll have to make another trip over there.

Thank you very much for the notice. I feel very bad that I wouldn’t be able to participate the outing. The flood we had here the other day had created a lot of problems for me. I have to stay home to wait for the repair man to show up.Have a nice time. Lien-fu Huang
