The Diminishing Fall Colors

I walked along the C&O Canal tow path near in the Great Falls Park yesterday. Sadly to say the fall colors were fading away quickly due to some rain and high wind occurred earlier in the week. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my walk and captured some pictures showing whatever left in the autumn colors.

Thank you, Jane. Great Falls Tavern is a very nice “old” structure. It was built in late 1700 or early 1800 as Lockmaster quarters and in 1830 was expanded as Inn with restaurant and lodging facilities and now a Visitor Center for the Great Falls Park. The nightly charge for a bunk bed was 25 cents and the third “suite” was for married couple for 50 cents, shown of marriage certificate is required.
