Looking Back 2020

It was an unusual difficult year of 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic originated from China and extended all over the world that imposed serious restrictions on travel and outdoor activities. We had to cancel our planned trips to Japan and Taiwan in April/May and Botswana and South Africa in August, even the foliage trip to New England in October. The picture above is the Monocacy Aqueduct, part of C&O Canal.

However, we did take a trip to California in January before the the wide spread of Corvid 19 in the US.

Sunset at Joshua National Park:

Big Sur:

Ostrich Farm:

We did travel to nearby States of Delaware and Pennsylvania for snow geese photos in February/March:

Spring is the most beautiful season in Washington, DC area and I tried to explore the areas when opportunity arose and wearing mask all the time:

Come June and July, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Frederick’s Carroll Creek Park and Lilypons Water Gardens became my favorite places to shoot lotuses water lilies and dragonflies:

I could not resist but to take an eight-day foliage tour to the neighboring state of West Virginia at the beginning of October:

Tidal Basin in DC is best known for the splendid view of cherry blossom. However, as I found out in late October, the views of autumn foliage were just as attractive:

I am a sucker for fog and I could not resist to drive around to find some interesting scenes:

We took an overnight trip to Chincoteague NWR, Assateague National Seashore and Prime Hook NWR recently – the dawn scenes at Chincoteague was just incredible beautiful:

Snow Geese at Prime Hook:

Well, when I don’t go out for photography I can always count on the beautiful sunset from my backyard deck, on a lucky day:

Good bye to 2020 and I wish all visitors to my blog have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year of 2021.
