Dragonflies

Nature, Photography

We went to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens yesterday morning. It was very nice to hear the “Cicada Symphony” in the Gardens – they only have 4-6 weeks to find the mates to produce the next generations that will emerge 17 years later (2038). It was a hot day and as a bonus there were lots of dragonflies flying around the water lily ponds. I always enjoy taking photos of this creature.

How about these two pictures – it’s not a dragon among dragonflies but just a simple water snake!

Thank you so much for your comments – much appreciated. I alway enjoy taking pictures of dragonflies, one good thing about photographing them – should you miss first time just wait for few seconds they usually come back to the same spot! Not the butterflies though!
