Hiawatha National Forest – 3 – Seney NWR
We visited Seney National Widlife Refuge (NWR) not too far from Munising. The landscapes were beautiful with some showing of fall colors. However, we did not see many birds except some trumpeter swans scattered in different ponds in the Refuge.

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
We stayed at Munising, MI on Lake Superior for four days as a base to tour the Upper Michigan Peninsula, especially to explore the foliage in Hiawatha National Forest. But first to tour the nearby Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore anf Laughing Whitefish Waterfalls.
Door County, WI and Escabana, MI

Chicago River Walk
Our second stop on the way to Upper Michigan Peninsula was the Windy City Chicago. We enjoyed the River Walk that provided great opportunity to appreciate many magnificent skycrapers of Chicago.
Indiana National Sand Dunes Park
We drove about 3,000 mile in the past 17 days to tour Upper Michigan Peninsula for fall leaf peeping. Our first stop was the newly designated National Park, the Indiana National Sand Dunes Park on Lake Michigan shore.
