When we visited Adirondack Region, New York two weeks ago, we tried to drive up to Whiteface Mountain via its Memorial Highway three times. We failed the first two times because of rain/drizzle making zero visibility on top of the mountain. Luckily, we made it on our third try, though we still could not go all the way to the top because of the low visibility. However, there were a few overlook spots on the highway that provided excellent view of the fall colors and even the “sea of clouds”.
