Assateague’s Wild Horses

Assateague’s wild horses are well known – they are owned and managed by National Park Service. They are free roaming wildlife and could be found anywhere in the park, in the woods, on the roadways, at the marshland and even at the beaches. Below is the link to get some basic information: https://www.nps.gov/asis/learn/nature/horses.htm

The day we were there we did see quite a few of them but only on the side of roadways. I guess I have to go back there in the summer time when they will more likely to be roaming on the beach, making a nice background for photographing, especially if they show up in large group – just my wishful thinking! –DSC_6054sDSC_6061sDSC_6066sDSC_6072sDSC_6076s
