White Sands in B&W
White Sands National Monument in New Mexico is really a paradise for the photographer. I only wish I had stayed for few extra days to cover these beautiful sand dunes. I converted some of the color images to B&W using NIK Silver Efex software.
Bald Eagle Catching Fish, Again
An adult bald eagle weighs 10-14 pounds and it’s amazing that it can lift a fish up to four pounds from the water and sometimes with only one powerful talons. It’s a challenge and also fun to capture (with camera) what they capture. No wonder so many […]

Conowingo Bald Eagles

Snow Geese at Bosque del Apache
In addition to sandhill cranes, the Bosque is also the winter home for thousands and thousands of snow geese. We were lucky to witness their “dawn fly out” from the “Flight Deck” overlook one early and cold morning. The sunrise was spectacular and to see […]

The Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, fondly known as “The Bosque,” is in New Mexico near the small town of San Antonio, NM, less than an hour and a half from Albuquerque. It was my last stop of the recent 11-day photo tour of […]
