Pronghorns

We came across many pronghorns or sometimes referred as pronghorn antelopes while touring Custer State Park of South Dakoda last week. We saw these beautiful animals in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks a few years ago. Pronghorn is considered as the second fastest land mammal (up to 55 mph), second only to cheetah. It can, however, sustain high speed longer than cheetahs.  It’s a beautiful sight to see a herd running at high speed on the plain. Unfortunately, we didn’t see that this time.
