Spearfish Scenic Byway in Black Hills
On the way back from Devil’s Tower to Rapid City on our last day of 9-day photo tour we took the Spearfish Scenic Byway to view the fall foliage along this beautiful highway. We also got a chance to view and photograph Roughlock Water Falls.

Needles Highway (Route 87) near Custer, SD
We took a late afternoon drive on Needles Highway (Route 87) north of Custer Sate Park and really enjoyed viewing all the spires along the highway when the sunset light was reflected from the magnificent spires.
